Yes. Pedal is completely free to download and use. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases.
Pedal is currently designed for London cyclists. The TfL fare calculations are based on London’s zone system. Route tracking works anywhere, but savings are calculated against TfL fares.
Pedal integrates directly with the TfL Journey Planner API to calculate the exact fare you would have paid for the equivalent public transport journey, including daily and weekly caps.
Pedal uses an energy-efficient GPS strategy with a 10-metre distance filter, minimising battery drain while maintaining accurate tracking.
